Piclens for Mac Only
This next Firefox extension is a must have, especially if you have big wide real estate on your flat screen. Here’s my desktop with Piclens:

Imagine a RSS news reader where you are free to browse thru the topics in pictures like Cover Flow or iPhoto. A picture is worth a thousand words. Enjoy! It also makes you want to get a bigger screen.
You can download the Firefox extension at their website. Whooops. It’s now called Cooliris. While there, go ahead and download CoolPreviews too.
Whoops again. Piclens/Cooliris is not for mac only, there’s a Windows version too, as pointed out in the comments by Luna from Cooliris. You can download all the different versions here. It comes in different flavours too, not just Firefox, but Safari (great!), and IE (shudders).

Hi Colin,
Thanks so much for your post about Cooliris! We really appreciate it. And your Olympics in Cooliris Discover screenshot is great.
Yes, our name has been changed from PicLens to Cooliris. More importantly, Cooliris 1.8 is available for Windows too! It’s fully compatible on Firefox, Safari 3.1, and Internet Explorer browsers.
Interested readers can view our visual demo at http://cooliris.com/demo and learn more at http://blog.cooliris.com.
A final update: enabling your own website for Cooliris is now so easy it takes less than 10 minutes. Check out Cooliris for Developers at http://developer.cooliris.com.
Thanks again for your post, Colin! Hope you and your readers are enjoying Cooliris!
All the best,
Luna and the Cooliris Team
